About R.E.A.C.H.
R.E.A.C.H. is a home school support group in the Sandhills Area that offers friendship, support, information, field trips, and play dates. A group for home schooling parents to let their children socialize and to learn from different environments of different families. The bond of this group will be home schooling…THE only requirement is to keep the children first!!!
The vision behind R.E.A.C.H. is to create a circle of home schooling friends who will respect and welcome each family’s right to different and diverse educational, religious, and political philosophies as long as those philosophies do not inhibit other families’ rights within the group. R.E.A.C.H. is welcoming to all who desire to educate their own children in an atmosphere of mutual RESPECT and FUN! EVERYONE who joins will be welcomed with open arms.
R.E.A.C.H. will be a “non-directed" organization. There are no appointed leaders. This group depends on the active involvement of its members.
There is no membership fee, although there may be fees incurred for participation in field trips or other learning activities.
The goals of R.E.A.C.H. are to offer resources that enhance home schooling, to provide support and encouragement for home schooling parents, and to promote activities for all home schooled students.

Mission of R.E.A.C.H.
• Support each member's reasons for homeschooling and his/her style of teaching.
• Practice respect of any member's difference of opinion including spiritual and political beliefs.
• Commit to emphasizing the diversity of homeschoolers.
• Encourage the acceptance of homeschooling as an individualized approach to education.
• Affirm the freedom of parents to choose for their children an education that is consistent with their principles and beliefs.

• Strive to have a wholesome and family atmosphere at any and all R.E.A.C.H. activities.

 Keep in Mind...
Field Trips to Aquariums, Zoos, Museums, Offices, Park Days, Play Dates...

The list is endless...activities can include whatever the membership believes is beneficial to our home schooling children and families.
Any member, including a "newbie", is encouraged to set up park days, play dates, field trips, informational classes, crafts or holiday/seasonal events.

All Activities such as field trips and social activities are organized by the membership

Any R.E.A.C.H. Homeschool Group member can organize field trips for our members, however, these are not drop-off events and we expect children to be closely supervised by a parent or guardian at each event. With this in mind, R.E.A.C.H. is not responsible for accidents or injuries at our events.

Organizing a trip takes time and effort so please consider the field trip host, the place we're visiting, and the other members attending the trip. Also keep in mind we represent R.E.A.C.H. and the homeschool community at large. We want to be welcomed back wherever we go.
